Scotland =)

Day 4 - Our first stop for the day is Hadrian's Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and after a few pictures, we crossed the England-Scotland border, and took more pictures there as well. =P  Our first stop in Scotland is Jedburgh where the Jedburgh Abbey and Mary Queen of Scots' House are.  It's also our lunch stop, my friend tried the Haggis, while I tried their scones.  Then we went on a guided tour to Sir Walter Scott's Abbotsford House.  After the tour, we're on our way to Edinburgh where we checked-in at Radisson Blu, a very nice hotel at the center of the city, then had a little walk around before it's time for our Scottish evening experience.  The Scottish evening includes dinner with some Scottish music and dancing, not that great but at least the Haggis is good. =)

Day 5 - We went on a sightseeing tour with our local guide, wearing a kilt, around the city then stop at Holyrood Palace, the official residence of the British monarch in Scotland.  After taking pictures around the abbey and outside the palace, since no pictures are allowed inside, we went on our way to Edinburgh Castle.  We were left to explore the castle since there's so much to see, and it's close to our hotel so we just walked back on our own.  That night we joined the Royal Yacht Britannia experience where we got to board the ship and see the Royal family's rooms, then had a nice dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Day 6 - Long bus ride this day over Forth Road Bridge through Fife to St. Andrews, where the Royal and Ancient Golf Club is located and where Prince William and Kate Middleton's love story started. =)  Another long drive and our last tour stop for the day is Balmoral Castle, which has been one of the residences of the British Royal Family since Queen Victoria.  We checked-in our hotel in Inverness and went to the Clava Cairns, specifically the Balnauran of Clava is one of the best preserved Bronze Age burial site in Scotland.  We went to a pub right after where I tried the cider, it's like a sparkling apple juice.  Going to Seoul a lot made me more familiar with the cider that is actually a Sprite, lol. =P

Day 7 - Our first stop this day is the Culloden Battlefield and Visitor Centre, where we got to hear the story of the Hanoverian victory over the Jacobites.  Back on the bus for a long drive and see if we can catch the Loch Ness monster as we drive along Fort William, Loch Linnhe, Glen Coe, and Rannoch Moor.  We finally stopped at Loch Lomond for a cruise on the loch before heading to Glasgow.

Day 8 - We went to Gretna Green, one of the places I've been looking forward to since I've read about in historical romance novels back in college.  It's where lovers run off to get married. ^^  After that, we're back to England headed to Grasmere, home of poet william Wordsworth, for a lunch stop.  And finally to Liverpool where we visited the Beatles Story, a really nice museum about the "Fab Four", a must go for all Beatles fans out there.

Next we're going to Ireland! ^^
