Warsaw, Poland ~

From Minsk, we're on our way to Warsaw, Poland! ^^  It's a pretty long travel so it was late afternoon already when we reached Warsaw.  Not to waste the day, we decided to walk around the city with a map and a very nice weather. =)  Most of the shops are closing so there's not much to see, until we saw the Palace of Culture and Science.  We took some pictures even if it's dark already, we went back the next day to take pictures again but it looks better at night. =)

The next morning, we made a short stop at the Royal Lazienki Park (Royal Baths Park) to take our group picture at the famous monument of Fryderyk Chopin.  Too bad we don't have enough time that we can't explore the place, they said it's huge and had lots to see.

We went straight to the Old Town.  The entrance to the Old Town is the Castle Square where the Royal Castle (but we didn't enter though =S) and King Zygmunt III Waza Column are located.  With a local guide, we walked through the Old Town, entering to see what's behind the Warsaw Barbican, passing by the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace Patron of Warsaw, then the Kanonia, a small triangular square near the cathedral with a huge bronze bell in the middle, and ended at the Market Square.

Then we're left to explore on our own.  We entered the Cathedral Basilica of the Martyrdom of St. John the Baptist where a mass is being held, to give thanks to God for giving us a chance to visit such a place.  At the very center of the Old Town Square is the Monument of the Warsaw Mermaid, legend says, she's armed with sword and shield to protect the city and it's residents.

After the tour, we went back to the city to have lunch and do some shopping.  That night, we had our farewell dinner, signaling the end of our tour.  Most of us are going back home the next day to our own countries, some will continue to explore the world with another tour.  For almost 3 weeks, I was in a totally different world, so many new things to see, new people to meet, new lessons to learn.  It was a wonderful experience that I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to experience again.  I thank God again and again for blessing me so much, letting me do what I love best, which is to travel, and for always being with me in all my journey. =)  To God be all the glory!
