Europe - Snow, Snow, Snow, Switzerland! ^_^
After the clock demonstration in Black Forest, we crossed the border to Switzerland! Our first stop, Rhine Falls! It's the largest plain waterfalls of Europe. There was a drizzle when we got there so we have to carry our umbrellas around while watching the beauty of the falls.
Then we went straight to our hotel, checked in and had dinner. At night, we decided to walk around the city, looking at the shopping areas to get familiar for our shopping trip the next day! =)
Next day, the most exciting part of my whole Europe trip has finally come, I'm going to see real snow! (It's probably nothing to those who live in countries with winter, but for those like me who live in a tropical country, this is a rare chance and I'm so excited! =P) We went up Mt. Titlis by riding 3 types of cable cars - 1st is the 6 seater cable car, on the next level is the "train car" which fits around 35 people inside, and finally to the top is the Rotair - the rotating cable car! It's big and fits around 35 people too and what's wonderful is that you can see 360 degrees because it rotates!
At the top, we played around with snow, taking it all in specially me since it's my first time touching real snow. We took lots of pictures, fun, goofy ones for keepsake. Who knows when will I ever see snow again right? ^^ We had lunch there then went inside the Glacier Cave. Then it's time to go back down. Goodbye snow...
After Mt. Titlis, we went back to Lucerne. It's really a very beautiful city, you can see the Swiss Alps all around! We saw it's most famous landmarks, the Chapel Bridge and the Water Tower. It's a wooden bridge dates back 14th century, with paintings displayed from the 17th century depicting events from Lucerne history.
Then it's shopping time! The shopping area in Lucerne is heaven for watch and chocolate lovers (which are what you go to Switzerland for in the first place!^^)! We walked around so much that I'm really really tired after that long shopping day.
